H2SITE was established in 2020 as a spin out of two European Research and Development centers: Eindhoven University of Technology and TECNALIA. It was created as a midstreamer, focusing on enabling solutions for hydrogen transportation, and possesses exclusive technology for membrane reactors and separators. H2SITE facilitates the conversion of easy to transport feedstocks into fuel cell purity hydrogen. These include ammonia, methanol, or synthetic gas. Our membrane solution also separates hydrogen from gas blends in low concentrations for applications in salt caverns or natural hydrogen. We have buit the first membrane manufacturing plant in Bilbao, Spain, where we also design reactors and separators, and have them built by 3rd parties. Once they’re installed, we sell them with a multi-year membrane supply agreement, guaranteeing hydrogen purity and quantity.
