E-World Energy & Water

At E‑world energy & water from February 7 to 9, the trade visitors will experience what the future of the energy sector will look like. At Messe Essen, Europe’s leading energy trade fair will concentrate on new solutions for everything to do with the energy supply of the future. In this respect, E‑world will promote innovations and new forces in the sector in an absolutely targeted way with initiatives such as the Energy App Award, a Start-Up Speed Dating event and the Career Forum.

The Start-Up Speed Dating event will give its premiere at E‑world 2017. E‑world and the energieloft innovation network will support company founders in this way. They will give them the possibility of presenting their concepts in front of potential capital providers, investors or cooperation partners. From now on, start-ups can register for their brief presentations on February 7 or 8, 2017 at http://eworld.energieloft.de. For both these days, the young entrepreneurs will receive two tickets for the fair free of charge.

Energy App Award Honours New Customer-Friendly Digital Solutions

The Energy App Award will go into its second round in 2017. The mark of distinction acknowledges particularly customer-friendly, helpful and exciting digital solutions. The final round in which promising candidates presented themselves to the jury at google in Munich has already taken place. These included eeMobility GmbH with its eeMobility customer app, the tiko app from Swisscom Energy Solutions AG, Jedlix with the #ichargesmart app, energis GmbH with WATT für dich (“WATT for you”), In Situ Energy AG with Change38 and the GreenApp from Kelag. On the second day of the E‑world fair, it will be announced what companies were able to convince the jury and to win valuable prizes such as an App Promotion Workshop at google, an Innovation Workshop by innogy as well as a cash prize amounting to Euro 5,000.

Career Forum Brings Graduates and Companies Together

The third day of the fair, February 9, will be characterised by the career opportunities for students and graduates. The Career Forum will bring them together with the personnel managers from the energy industry. Thus, the event will offer purposeful and specialist communication between companies, graduates and young professionals. Questions about job applications, entering occupations and career possibilities will be answered in face-to-face discussions. Thus, the Career Forum will be the ideal platform in order to establish contacts, to extend networks and to fill concrete positions. In the accompanying lecture programme, experts in the sector will give tips about entering occupations and planning careers. Students and graduates will be able to take part in the Career Forum and to visit the fair free of charge and can register at www.e-world-essen.com/karriereforum/.
