Octavia Carbon is the Global South’s first Direct Air Capture (DAC) company, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. We are a dedicated team of ~47 individuals committed to developing globally competitive DAC technology that directly captures CO2 from the atmosphere in Kenya. At the forefront of our operations is Project Hummingbird, our pilot DAC+Storage plant that will be in Naivasha, Kenya, and will have the capacity to capture and securely store 1000 tons of CO2 per year (1000tCO2/yr). To date, we have developed 5 at-scale DAC machines, three of which are among the 100 machines that will be deployed in the project. Our mission is to reverse the effects of Climate change and end the fossil fuel age. By 2030, we aim to permanently remove a million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere, aiding in the global efforts to attain net zero.
