More than 10 million smallholder farmers in Kenya use expensive and polluting diesel-powered machinery for their farm operations. They do not have access to the resources to invest in better alternative such as solar technology. ATP Disrupts the Fossil fuel economy by providing farmers with access to solar-powered farming systems and services. Our Innovation is our PAY-AS-YOU-GO MODEL (PAYG) that allowing smallholder farmers access to clean energy services at an affordable price.
We finance, Install and maintain off-grid solar infrastructure and use it to provide farming services, making solar power accessible to low income and off-grid customers. We also create community -level jobs. Our services reduce Agri-energy costs and lower tariffs by 20%-40% when compared to fossil fuels. Currently, our three farming services (solar-powered irrigation, solar conduction dryers and cooling services) are accessible to any farmer with land in Africa.
